Bring your A-Game for Gamefish
Match wits with the legendary fighting bonefish. Pound for pound, no fish has more fight in it than this pearly rascal. This worthy adversary lurks in the tidal flats ready to spar with fly fisherman and spin casters. This could be you, perched on the poling platform of a top-notch boat, guided by a local expert. While bonefish don't have the heft of billfish, when you hook one, count on a 20- to 30-minute fight you won't soon forget. Or will it be the one that got away that you talk about for years?

If you're up for bigger game and a longer fight, head out to sea aboard your boat or one of the many expertly captained deep-sea charters. For bottom fishers, grouper and snappers abound. There are plenty of dolphin, too, but the premier game is the legendary blue marlin. Along with sailfish, marlins migrate through TCI waters from June through September and helps make the Turks and Caicos "one of the top 20 fishing destinations in the world," according to Sportfishing magazine. If you set a hook in one of these giants, you'll be in for as much as five hours of all you can handle. It will be for the glory only, though, as catch-and-release is the rule in the conservation-minded Turks and Caicos.
